Collection of stamps cards and covers illustrating the development of international air post 1870-1950 / amassed by Miss Winifred Penn-Gaskell. 74: Quantity of air mail etiquettes, most unfranked, loose, various countries. c300 items including: Zeppelin airships; proof sheet 2nd issue winged type 1934; Empire Air Day; Australian Airmail Exhibition 1937; Fliegerkompagnie 1939-1940; booklet of assorted etiquettes from collection of WE Hughes 1939. Noted on receipt by Science Museum 1950 as damaged by dampness; some mulched in batches; items separated and reconfigured 2003. 1 box
