Wall mounting for Jubilee telephone, made by the Post Office, Cwmbran, Wales, 1977.

The Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977 marked the effective start of a move away from a single standard design of telephones. It was the first telephone designed and manufactured by the Post Office. It was designed in 'Balmoral blue'. It was not very popular, as the dial and external housing for the bell made it look old-fashioned.
