Viscount telephone, S/N 89171029261, made by Standard Telephones and Cables for British Telecom, British, 1982-1995. Bronze coloured telephone with twelve black buttons and three white buttons, black cable.
Viscount telephone S/N 89171029261, made by Standard Telephones and Cables for British Telecom, British, 1982-1995.
This limited edition bronze-coloured Viscount phone was sold to celebrate the 5 million Viscount telephones supplied to British Telecom. It included secrecy and last number redial buttons. The 'star' and 'hash' keys were introduced at the same time as fully digital telephone exchanges, to give access to additional calling facilities.
