PPN (Pre and Post Natal) Detector Recorder, device developed by Dr Michele Clements to record the output from her PPN Detectors used for screening the central nervous system of the unborn child, made in England, c1975-1980

The device was used to record the output from the sound-based PPN (pre and post natal detectors developed by Dr Michele Clements for screening the central nervous system of an unborn child. These represent a novel and personal approach to foetal monitoring and add to the Science Museum’s currently small collection of ultrasound equipment.
