Notebook of manuscript reminiscences by Samuel Edge of his early life in Llanfoist, Wales, and his career as a railwayman on the Merthyr, Tredegar and Abergevanny branch line. The line was owned by the LNWR and joined up with the GWR at various points on its route. Mr. Edge gives details of the route, the locomotives that worked it, coal and goods trains, colliers' trains, signalling, staff etc.
