Sectioned model, scale 1:2, of a 'Blechynder' feed-water regulator used to automatically control the water feed into tube boilers, patented by Alfred Blechynder in 1895, and made by Henry Watson and Sons, Newcastle upon Tyne, England, 1895-1899. 'Blechynder' feed-water regulators were first used on the H.M.S. Pactolus (1898).
