Child's copy of Webb lawnmower, 1960s

This is a small-size version of a Webb manual lawnmower of the 1960s, intended for use by children. It is from a very large collection of lawnmowers brought together by an individual family. A selection was acquired by the Science Museum to illustrate a number of stories relating to the history of grass-cutting, including the technology, the social context and sporting associations.
