Geoffrey Tippett Collection of photographs of Swindon Works and GWR locomotives. The collection consists of an album containing 46 black & white 1 3/4 x 2 1/2 inch contact prints, and binder of 100 negatives. The photographs, taken in the late 1920s / early 1930s depict locomotives at the works, repairs, components, machine tools, boilers, shop floors, etc. The photographer, Mr. Geoffrey Tippett, was an apprentice at Swindon Works.
