An Irishman, Pat Murphy, is given a bottle by a fairy which will produce all soirts of good things. Pat sells it to his landlord and the good things vanish. He goes again to the fairy in quest of another bottle. This time, however, she gives him one containing an evil spirit, which thrashes the family. At night, Pat breaks into the landlord's house and changes the bottles.
