Board (length 12 ins breadth 5 ins) intended to hang beside hearth-place to serve as a holder for Sulphur-matches; a piece of elm-wood, with bevelled edges and provided with two strings to hold in position a number of sulphur-matches lying horizontally; surface rudely carved; edges notched; at top, the letters "A.W.P."; at bottom, the inscription "1796W", rudely carved. ?
