Tinder-box (length 3 1/2 ins) made of a seed-pod of the Fan-palm (Borassus); contains flint, steel, and tinder (the latter the floss of the silk-cotton tree, Bombax malabaricus, contained in a case made of two half-cocoons of the silk moth and attached by a cord). Kolaba, India.
