Tinder-holder, in form of a brass box (length 3 1/2 ins); rectangular, with hinged lid; well made, with exterior gilt; contains a coil of match-tinder in tube, projecting from one end, with cap secured by small brass chain, also two flints (pieces of chalcedony, cut to shape).
