Chuckmuck (length 2 7/8 ins); brass mounts on flap, including twelve bosses, a joss-house or shrine, sun, half-moon, and ingenious fastening with sliding bolt (similar to that on no. 964); a largely-illegible inscription in Chinese on back of steel, seems to refer to purity or ice.
