Chuckmuck (length 5 1/10 ins); an unusual example, covered both back and front by brass plates, bearing designs in pierced openwork, allowing thin sheets of talc (now largely broken away) to be seen below; design on flap represents, within a border engraved with a design of dots and angles, two large long-tailed pack-horses, both laden, facing one another; design on back chiefly dots and zig-zag lines; very wide suspension-ring of steel at top; attached thereto, by a cord of catgut, a brass horse-bell; much tinder remains inside.
