Tinder-pistol (length 8 1/2 ins) of iron, with wooden butt; an unusual form, having the pistol-mechanism arranged on a flat strip of iron; lacks candle-socket and receptacle for matches; no decoration; inscribed in rude lettering on side of plate, "Corbau a Mastrich"; probably early 18th century.
