Tinder-pistol (length 8 1/4 ins) of iron, with wooden butt, having large pommel at back, brass tipped; very small candle-socket on one side; tinder-compartment on other side; two swine engraved on body, one running on top, one lying down on lid of tinder-compartment; butt handsomely inlaid with gold filigree work and small brass studs; probably late 17th century.
