Instantaneous Light Box (length 2 1/2 ins) of tin; rectangular, with hinged lid closing with a snap-catch; exterior painted dull green, interior buff-yellow; has six compartments, all upright; central compartment in front for acid-bottle (its mouth closed by india-rubber pad in lid), others for matches; all compartments covered by hinged inner lid of tin, intended to prevent acid coming in contact with store of matches; inner lid pierced to allow neck of bottle to come through; edges of hole in lid much corroded by action of acid. England.
