Instantaneous Light Box (3 x 2 ins) in lignum vitae, turned; upright, cylindrical, with screw-on lid; central compartment (for acid-bottle) has been removed to convert the contrivance into a match-box; on top of lid, a socket for a match; probably made by Berry, but not so stamped; all contents missing; date probably about 1835. England.
