Instantaneous Light Box (height 5 1/4 ins) turned in lignum vitae; a handsome box, in shape like an embattled pinnacled turret; a late form, provided with separate screw-on lids, to both central compartment for acid-bottle and outer annular compartment for matches, enabling the store of matches to remain covered and safe from accidental ignition whilst one match was being dipped in the acid-bottle, the mouth of which is accessible through the outer lid; probably made by Berry.
