Instantaneous Light Bottle containing an acid-bottle and an ink-bottle, enclosed in receptacles, with screw-on caps, in the two ends of a ruler (13 x 1 1/10 ins), of lignum vitae, turned and polished, intended for desk use; ruler contains also a compartment for chlorate of potash Matches; therein, six slender wooden Matches (2 x 1/6 x 1/16 ins), sulphur-dipped, with red heads; one end stamped "Berry's Patent" and the Crown; date probably about 1835. England.
