[One of] Eight Lighters; all of similar, but slightly-different, types; all of iron, nickelled; all more or less rectangular; all provided with a length of match-cord tinder, the tail of which projects at bottom; four work by turning a projecting ring on side, one by drawing out a ratchetted plunger at end, and three in other ways; one French; others probably German.
