Leaflet (7 1/2 x 4 1/2 ins), printed, advertising "Watts' Chlorate or Lucifer Matches"; made and sold by G. F. Watts, chemist, etc., of 17 Strand, late of 94 St. Martin's Lane, London; declares his matches to be perfectly safe, being ignitable by means of sand-paper only; gives price as six-pence per box of one hundred, with a liberal allowance to merchants, traders, and exporters; same leaflet also advertises Watts's "Camphorated Match" and "Chemical Sulphured Match"; written on back are wholesale trade terms (large boxes 24s per gross: small boxes 15s per gross: if 5 gross, discount about 15 per cent: from 20 to 50 gross, discount 25 per cent); undated, but probably issued in August or September 1831. England.
