Bell's Improved Royal Patent Lucifers. Warranted. 22 Bread St., Cheapside, London. Draw the sand paper briskly over the match. Warranted to keep in any Climate" with the Royal Arms at top; box contains about 60 Matches (2 3/4 x 1/10 x 1/10 ins), sulphur-dipped, with heads of black sulphide of antimony, and a piece of stiff pinkish-red sanded card-board (2 1/3 x 1 1/3 ins), folded in the middle, for ignition-purposes; date probably about 1833.
