Match-box (57 x 40 mm) of cardboard; cylindrical, with slip-on lid; covered with yellow paper, printed with a plaid pattern and two inscriptions on panels, "Union Augsburg" and "Salonhölzer, Giftfrei, nicht nachglühend. 111"; interior lined with pink paper; top sanded; very like no. 1604, but without pasted-on paper label; contains full complement of square-stemmed wooden matches, with red, green, blue, purple, yellow, and white beads; date about 1860. Germany.
