Coronet midget camera. Manufactured by Coronet Camera Company, Birmingham. Dark brown Bakelite. For 16mm rollfilm 18 x 13" pictures. Simple lens fitted with fixed focus and aperture, instantaneous shutter with accidental exposure prevention, and optical vision finder.

Coronet Midget camera manufactured by the Coronet Camera Company in Birmingham, England, 1935.

Given away free with breakfast cereal the Midget was a sub miniature camera for 16mm wide rollfilm. With a moulded Bakelite body the camera was made in a range of colours including brown, black, walnut, green, rose, olive and blue. Described by its makers as 'A REAL camera and not just a novelty' a company advertising brochure called the it ‘The world's smallest camera’.
