Photograph, mounted print, paper on card, "York Station England 1874 to 8", taken by Duncan Photo circa 1878 to 1879, acquired by John Haslam, 1879. Shows the inside of the station and the curve of the roof. John Haslam worked for the NER Architect's Office, and was assistant engineer on the construction of York Station and the other railway buildings between 1874 and 1879. In 1879 he moved to Australia to work for South Australian Railways in Adelaide. The inscription on the back is almost certainly by Haslam.
