Photograph, mounted print, paper on card, "York Station England - Prof. Men & Others Engaged on the Works", photographer unknown, circa 1878, acquired by John Haslam, 1879. John Haslam worked for the NER Architect's Office, and was assistant engineer on the construction of York Station and the other railway buildings between 1874 and 1879. In 1879 he moved to Australia to work for South Australian Railways in Adelaide. He may be included in this group photograph of 48 men in front of an incomplete part of York Station (second row, second from left).
