Photograph, cabinet print, card, John Haslam and (probably) his first wife, taken by W.P. Glaisby of Spurriergate, York, circa 1872. John Haslam worked for the NER Architect's Office, and was assistant engineer on the construction of York Station and the other railway buildings between 1874 and 1879. In 1879 he moved to Australia to work for South Australian Railways in Adelaide. His first wife was Martha nee Evans and they married in 1872.
