ECHELON Hip System

This type of implant can be used in first hip replacement operations and also for patients who need another hip implant. The choice of hip replacement type depends upon a number of factors. For most patients a standard cemented stem is the best option. Cement-less stems are used for younger patients because such stems fix well in younger bones. Patients with abnormalities of the bones require a replacement resembling a mechanically normal hip.
