Sample Perspex window used by Ian Gilchrist in researching high pressure windows for Benthic pressure trap. Window which was pressurised repeatedly to pressures above 290 MPa. The window continued to withstand the pressue applied. The main effect is to cause additional cracking in the seperated window section close to the low pressure face.
