Poster entitled 'Passing the Buck. games for multinational drug companies', published by the East London Health project, photomontage by Peter Dunn, 1970s.
An image of a model castle is the centrepiece of this poster. It is called ‘Passing the Buck – games for multinational drug companies’. The castle is made from real drugs and syringes. It is included elsewhere on this website (see 1982-486). The photomontage was created by artist Peter Dunn and aimed to highlight pharmaceutical companies ‘putting greed before need’.
In 1978, the East London Trades Councils wanted to give information about health issues to the local population. This was at a time when cuts were being made to the National Health Service (NHS). The East London Health Project was formed for this task and eight different posters were produced over the two years it existed.
