Cinemaccanica projectors were market leaders from the 1960s and were widely used in British cinemas. The Rank Organisation held the dealership in teh UK until the 1980s and even badged the Victoria 8 as a Rank projector. Rank replaced its Kalee projectors in its Odeon chain with Cinemeccanica projectors. The Victoria 9 is a 35mm only version of the Victoria 8. It was the most basic of single projector long play systems and often replaced the two-projector Kalee set ups.
