Book, paper with linen cover, Pictorial and Descriptive Guide to North Wales: Its Mountain Scenery and Watering Places, including a section on Aberystwyth, published by Ward Lock & Co. Ltd., London, 1898. Contains extensive information on travelling round North Wales by rail, including several maps of rail routes, and information on narrow gauge lines. The original owner covered the book with a linen cover held in place with thread on the inside with tape ties forming carrying handles. Affixed inside the front cover is a manuscript list of hotels with their tariffs in various towns decribed in the book, as well as a brief itinerary and notes of train times. The inside first page is inscribed in pencil "[Ol]iver St. Aubyn, Cranbury Avenue, Southampton" and "Llandudno June 1899." 355pp + several appendices of adverts including one of railway routes.
