Specimen container, by Waddington and International Paper Ltd., Leeds, 1975-1980; 'Santona' waxed paper specimen container, watertight, ready-to-use carton, for hospital use

This cardboard specimen container was used to transport blood and urine samples from patients on wards to the laboratory. It is an example of a cheap disposable container, clearly labelled for its purpose and intended for one use only. The laboratory would run tests on the sample to help make a diagnosis.
