Model of class 310 electric multiple unit driving trailer composite open in British Rail blue and grey livery. Model fixed to length of track and housed in purpose-built perspex and wood case. The prototype was used mainly for commuter services on the newly electrified line between Birmingham and London from the mid 1960s and incorporated new features including disc brakes and state of the art interiors. 'Rugby' indicated on the destination board.
