Jude Law in 'Enemy at the Gates'
Jude Law in 'Enemy at the Gates', 2001 by Alex Bailey.
Following jobs as photographer for a local London newspaper and for the General Electric Company, Bailey became a freelance. He discovered his vocation when he assisted a photographer on a feature film. Since 1992 he has worked as a unit stills and special photographer.
Law played a young Russian sniper caught up in the siege of Stalingrad in the Second World War. Early on, he is forced to charge towards the Germans, a scene that was difficult for the photographer to capture satisfactorily during filming. He was able to persuade Law to re-enact the scene for his camera.
