Carton of "Ladywet" condoms, Japanese, 1970s.

Condoms are a common contraceptive in Japan. State approval for the prescription of the contraceptive pill in Japan was only given in 1999. This was years later than in most other countries. These condoms are entitled ‘Ladywet’. An image of a cat is on the cover. They were made by JPS Pharmaceuticals Limited in Japan in the 1970s.
