Coin-operated, battery-powered, electronic kerb-side parking meter with housing and pole, circa 1990-1995. Mechanism by MacKay Meters (USA), housing and coin box by Duncan Solutions (USA), via APT Controls Ltd (UK), with removable coin box and keys for mechanism and coin box enclosure. Officially the last coin-operated parking meter to be in use by Westminster Council, this was dug up by contractors on the 7th May 2009 at a ceremony attended by the Lord Mayor of Westminster and the Town Crier in Warwick Square, SW1.
