ELISpot TB diagnostic test kit, developed by Professor Ajit Lalvani at Oxford University, Britain, c.2009. This kit consists of one cell plate and a collection of 7 chemicals and substrate to perform test and positive control, housed in box. This is the first diagnostic test kit to be developed for TB in one hundred years. Using T-cells as it’s diagnostic platform, the test can specifically diagnose TB unlike previous skin test. This test has replaced the skin test for TB (such as in the United States), or is used in conjunction with it (such as in the UK) within national TB health policies and within global TB surveillance testing.
