Drawing from cartoon 'Tom and Jerry', showing Tom wearing shorts and stretching a catapult.
Tom and Jerry is a popular cartoon programme started in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, and still proving popular to this date worldwide. The cartoon centres two characters, Tom (Tom Cat) and Jerry (Jerry Mouse) and their comic fights. Tom tries to capture Jerry numerous times for "dinner" but always fails because of Jerry's cleverness.
This particular drawing was created in 1964, during the time the cartoon was written by Michael Maltese and directed by Chuck Jones.
