Handbill, paper, Train Cancellations: Sunday 6 September 2009, issued by London Midland Trains. Warning London Midland passengers in the Birmingham and Black Country areas of train cancellations on Sunday 6 September 2009 due to a lack of staff volunteering to work on a Sunday. It was alledged that this was unofficial action on the part of the rail unions as part of a pay dispute, as normally more than enough staff volunteered to work on Sundays. The unions denied the claim. This day of cancellations preceeded a similar but much more widely publicised day of cancellations in the South East.
