A photograph of four circus elephants drinking from a bucket as a group of children watch, taken in July 1938 by Sayers for the Daily Herald.
The elephants had arrived in London and were travelling from the docks to the Coliseum Theatre in St Martin's Lane, to perform in a Summer Circus. The elephants have stopped for a drink from a rather small bucket and have attracted a crowd of people eager to watch the unusual sight.
