A photograph entitled 'Braggs Guy, Trinity St., Halstead', taken by Edgar Tarry Adams in November 1899.
The photograph shows a group of men and boys carrying 'Braggs Guy', an effigy representing Guy Fawkes (1570-1606) traditionally burned on a bonfire on Guy Fawkes Day, in Trinity Street in Halstead, Essex. Either the bonfire had not taken place, or the Guy escaped without too much damage as this photograph was taken the day after Bonfire Night.
