A glass photographic negative entitled 'Children in Tree', taken by Edgar Tarry Adams in April 1898. Adams had five children - three boys and two girls all born in the 1880s. This photograph shows Pauline (1889-1969) at the top of the tree with Isobel (b. 1885) below her, Gordon (1887-1944) on the left and Francis (1882-1973) behind him. Adams' other son, Rodney, died aged just three months, in 1884.
