A Vivex colour photograph showing a general view of the Paris World's Fair (Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne ), made from a Dufaycolor transparency taken by an unknown photographer in 1937. To the extreme left is the German pavilion, designed by Albert Speer (1905-1981). In front of the Eiffel Tower is the Belgian Pavilion, designed by Henry van de Velde (1863-1957). The large statue visible on the right is 'Worker and Kolkhoz Woman' made for the Exposition by Vera Mukhina (1889-1953). It stands above the Soviet pavilion.
