A photograph entitled 'Eglise du St Sepulchre Façade', taken by James Robertson and Felice Beato in 1857.

The photograph shows the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, said to contain the place where Jesus was buried and later resurrected.

Robertson and Beato began working together in 1853. Together they photographed in Constantinople (now Istanbul), Greece, Jerusalem, and Balaklava where they documented the Crimean War, continuing the work of Roger Fenton (1819-1869).
