A photograph entitled 'Le Sphinx avec les Pyramides' taken by James Robertson and Felice Beato in 1857.

Robertson and Beato began working together in 1853. Together they photographed in Constantinople (now Istanbul), Greece, Jerusalem, Egypt and Balaklava where they documented the Crimean War, continuing the work of Roger Fenton (1819-1869).
