Gelatine silver print entitled ''Pieces', Drummonds Mill, Bradford' by Ian Beesley, about 1986. Signed in pencil on the back. Produced for the commission 'Through the Mill: The Story of Yorkshire Wool in Photographs', 1985-1987.

Pieces is the name given to lengths of woven cloth. Here the 'grey' cloth has been woven from undyed yarn and is waiting to be dyed as a continuous length of cloth, hence it will be 'dyed in the pieces'.
