Telegraph block instrument; G. K. Winter/J. Craik (Patents: 1880/1885). Combined absolute pegging 1-needle (red) 2-position/2-indication "On Line(red)/Cleared(black)" (Accepting: "Train Coming From"), behind/above which a bell-assembly is mounted, and beneath which is a large brass-handle commutator, positions "On" (red)/ "Off" (black). Below the commutator is a central brass-mounted, large black-bakelite bell-plunger. In the centre of the baseboard is painted in white the letter "A". The instrument is missing its cover-case, removed to show mechanism.
