Cotton combing machine by Dobson and Barlow Ltd., Bolton, Manchester, England, 1894, being an improved form of Heilmann's comber.
This machine represents an improved form of Heilmann's comber. It is used in the preparation of the materials for the finer cotton yarns, and finishes the work of the carding engine by laying out the fibres parallel and removing all dust and short fibres before they can be spun into thread.
